Center console - hanging file folders

This is a VERY minor problem, but annoying none the less..

The center console is designed (supposedly) to support standard sized office hanging file folders.

I was excited to get this feature because I keep all sorts of receipts, documents, maintenance records etc....and I thought this would be great to have an organized place to keep all this stuff. So I went to Office Depot and bought some folders....I hung the folders inside the console....and the "tracks" where the folder hangs is a tiny bit too far apart. So the folders don't align with the tracks and they just fall inside.

So I thought that maybe the folders I bought from Office Depot were defective and I returned them and bought another brand...same thing.

So the great hanging file folders idea is a flop. I think the only thing I can do is file the edges of the file folders with something like a Dremel.

Anybody else have this problem?

I had the same issue. Just put your fingers in the rear track and pull it forward a little bit. Then put a small piece of cardboard underneath and in between it and the rear plastic wall of the center console. The cardboard effectively shims the rear rail forward a little bit (1/8th inch max) and there is enough pressure to hold it there. This just brings the folder support rails a little closer together making the correct distance. Piece of cake.
