What differences?

I have a 1993 ford F150 4x4 with a 302 engine and a 5 speed. The engine has a rod knock and is going to be replaced with a 96 302 with mass air, The questions that I have are...

1)How do you hook up mass air?

2)Are there any differences in the engines between the two years?

3)Should I use the 1996 computer even though it was backed by an automatic tranny?

4)Can I use my flywheel on the 1996 302?

5)Should I get a "superchip"? I have no cats, dual exhaust, K&N
filter, and an eletric fan will this give me more noticeable power?

6)Can I use my existing computer with mass air?

Thanks in advance for any response!

Do a search on this message board for mass air or maf; they should bring up some information your looking for.
I think you can just swap computer from the 96, but there are some modifications you will have to do, I think you have to get a piggy back connector for the computer, so the fuel injectors can work independently, because the 96 computer is sfi not mfi.
I don’t know much about this, as I have never messed around with this conversion, but there are allot of people who have and can answer this better than I can.

I think you have to use the flywheel of your 92.
A superchip will give noticeable power, but you will have to run premium fuel all the time, I don’t think it’s worth it, but its up to you.
