I believe what you are talking about is called the "ZOODAD" mod.

You remove the grille , and cut a hole in the plastic to open up a larger space for cool air to enter the airbox. Then you can get some flex-able dryver duct from the hardware store and route it thru the hole to get the maximum effect.

I have a huge donaldson filte ron my truck , and when I did this mod , i changed a few things , and really didnt see much of a improvement , if any.

My 2cents , waste of time........

Guess I will hold off on doing anything like this. After looking around it seems that it would work better on the 6.0 or V10 than ours.

Grill Intake Mod

I have a question. My truck is stock except for a microtuner. I have only run it on the 60hp setting. This weekend I finally had a chance to to pull my camper for an exteneded period. When it was fully warmed up and going up a slight grade, I would hear a sucking sound coming from the drivers side under the hood. I think that it is air being pulled in thru the water seprator. Has anyone experienced this or know what the cause may be? I have not heard this before and when not towing or towing a light load I have never heard it. Thanks , Jonathan
