Hello All, I am in the process of replacing the complete front end on my 02 CC 4x4. Im replacing the hubs the lockers all seals and spindle axles. complete brakes with power stop and stailess brake lines ......I am going to switch back to the original automatic lockers. I am curious if any one has a simplified one line for the vacuum routing from the pump to the hubs? Thanks in advance
I can help you out with the pics, but the wiring diagrams I have are for 00-01. Wouldn't do you any good on your 02. The ESOF vacuum is really super simple. It has its own feed off the vacuum reservoir, goes down to the passenger wheel and then hits a "T". It then splits to the two front hubs following the frame under the engine to the driver's side (short trip to the passenger side from the T). I'll take some pics. It should be the same for your 02 as my 01 on the vacuum stuff. I have a GEM, and you have a VSM, so the electrical is a little different.
Here are the photos. You need to see if you still have your vacuum hublock solenoid by the passenger battery (if 02 had it):
PA66-GF33 is stamped on it, but that is not the part number. This is the vacuum shift solenoid.
Red line is from the vacuum reservoir. The black line above it is going out to the hubs.
Routing from there is as follows:
From the solenoid it runs out to the CAC tube and elbows straight down to the upper shock mount.
Dead center of this pic, you can see the vacuum junction where this line comes in, and then splits two ways. Look in the center below the heater hose and CAC tube.
