Clogged oil pump
My oil pump was clogged with some debris and the oil has fine metal in it. The bearings don't look bad enough to have produced that much metal, and the oil pump is not damaged too badly. The pump has been clogged for only 100 miles. Where else could the metal come from?
The engine runs great is strong and sounds fine except at 3000 or so RPMs it was clattering like a deisel. I origianlly thought this was a couple of loose rod bearings, but it may have something to do with the clogged oil pump. I will appreciate any input.
