I've got a 2016 F250 SD 6.2 gas with the snowplow option. Was wondering what the largest tire I can run on a factory rig (20" rims)? I went up to 295/65/20 Nitto's and have room to spare. Anyone have experience with bigger tire on stock truck? Thanks!
The 295/65/20 is pretty much the largest tire that works and doesn't rub. I will say the tires in your picture look like 295/60/20 which Nitto offers in the Trail, I had a set on factory 20's myself.
They're Nitto 295/65/20, no rubbing now. Looking at the specs on Nitto's 37x11.50x20's it looks like hey would only be 1.3" taller and a hair narrower.
Try them, let us know. I'm very curious about that size, they are E rated and a 80psi tire, vs 65 for a 12.50. I think you are going to rub the radius arm very hard, like having a hard time parking.

Maybe a set of aftermarket wheels with a little more offset then? Was trying to stay away from a lift, but may check out the leveling kits....
If you're wanting to run such a tall tire you might as well lift it so you DON'T have to worry about tire rubbing issues. Just because it doesn't rub MUCH when you turn doesn't mean it's gonna clear when going thru a ditch at an angle or especially off-roading even if minor off-roading.
Just my .02
If you run less offset, you will not rub the radius arms, but you will start rubbing the bumper and fender. I think I remember seeing some one on pirate 4x4 running 37x12.50's stock on a snow prep truck. I also remember him rubbing the radius arms hard. Like sir kayakalot said, if you rub in an off camber situation(which could be pulling into a parking lot somewhere), you risk damaging and fender/bumper/tire.
Fordman I agree. His truck looks great "as is". But let's be honest, how many of us settle with a truck "as is"? Lol. We always wanna make em bigger, badder and better
Thanks! Just frustrated that none of my local tire shops could help me out. I was told these 295/65's wouldn't fit, had to force the shop to mount them. Seems that I could fit another inch under it, but I'm not a tire guru and apparently none of my local shops have one either...
Amen to that. Every truck I've ever bought, I said I'm leaving alone, going to be happy the way it is. That last about 3 days. It's like a drug, just can't kick it. Keeps me poor like a drug as well
.
Back to topic, I know why he wants it, I love the look of a stuffed tire, and hate seeing 6 and 8" lifts with 33's and 35's. Especially when the wheel is wider than the tire. It looks like the ricer skateboard Honda Crx look from the 90's, just worse, on big heavy trucks. Stupid to me, but if someone likes it, it's their truck and their money.
