66' engine swap question
Ok.... 66' short bed that originally had a 240 with a 3 on tree. This engine was pulled and I purchased a running 352 with automatic transmission. Is there a difference in the interior hump height and transmission cross brace under? Will the original drive shaft work? I know this a lot of questions! Thanks in advance!

1966 F100 2WD 115" wheelbase.
240 I-6 with Ford type 3.03 3 speed manual. Driveshaft TYPE 5 = 60 3/4" long.
352 with MX Cruise-O-Matic. Driveshaft TYPE 4 = 57 1/8" long.
Notice in the pic how FoMoCo measures driveshafts.

Number Dummy....you rock! I knew I could count on this site for answers! Luckily I will have access to the driveshaft from the donor if needed. What do you think on the hump clearance? Any difference?

I don't think it matters for clearance, but my cruise-o equipped truck doesn't have a removable transmission cover plate. Just a very small cover plate on the passengers side to access the band adjustment on the transmission. I believe this was same 1965/66.

In case anyone was interested this is the info on the automatic transmission access hole plate and some pictures that I had.
C5TZ-8112232-A .. Floor Transmission Cover Access Hole Plate 1
350754-S8 .. Screw - pan head, cross recess - No. 10-16 x 1/2" 4
This last pic shows the band adjustment on the side of the Cruise-O-Matic that it allows access to.
