A/C performance
This is related to the earlier question posted about my Heat/Cool unit blower. I have noticed lately that at idle I hear a clicking sound coming from the right fender wall under a cover for electrical relays when the A/C is on. In concert with this is a noticable decrease in air temperature from the A/C duct. When the motor is revved up it cools better. A note about this A/C system is that it was converted (properly I might add per my mechanic) to the new R134a refrigerant. A friend of mine who is a car restoration buff told me to make jumper wire across the terminals of the relay that is clicking to see it the A/C cooled better, but being a cautious person and not wanting to possibly trash my mostly working A/C I have been hesitatant to try this. I gather that he is trying to determine if the relay is bad with this test.
