Hey I've been on this sight for a while with 58 F100 and we bought a 79 Bronco XLT Ranger the day after Thanksgiving. I'm still going through checking it over since its been sitting the last 3-4 years. anyway here is the day I brought it home
Nice looking bronco...AND it very well could be a freewheeling bronco with those reflective chromatic strip kit and black mirrors!!?? Most of the FW bronco's also came with several unique options BUT the only true way to know for sure if it's a FW bronco is to contact Marti report and have them run your Vin#...If it's a Freewheeling bronco, it's definitely fairly rare and worth some decent cash!! Nice score man!!
I ran a Marti report it doesn't say Freewheelin package but I dont know what it would say unless I order the window sticker from them as well maybe it would say on there anyway here is the report it is 1 of 2863 made in this trim and paint codes and the dealer it was sold at is about 10 miles from my home all though it is no longer around
Thanks
Jeff
I do feel I got a great one as it is all there runs great A/C comp engages dash pad is not cracked found one nickle size spot of rust in the drivers door rest looks great and solid I paid 3000 for the Bronco so I think I did good with that then I bought a 78 F150 with a new lift and wheels on it but didnt run well for 1500 transfered the parts over and sold the truck for 1600 then bought new tires
Thanks Jeff
It looks like it has "most" of the options for the freewheeling package AND notice the second item listed on the what your vehicle was equipped with "full air brush stripe"---this would indicate that it's a FW but I would think the Marti Report would have identified it as a FW in the package...? Regardless, you did very well with the purchase of this bronco!!
