Ecoboost for short trips

I commute 4 miles each way daily in mine and have had the same concerns - I'm guessing any vehicle other than a fully electric would not be happy with 4 mile runs ONLY. As was suggested, get it warmed up weekly and drive angry frequently so it knows you love it. I have an oil pan heater to help warm it up quicker in the cool weather and drive it 20 miles across town every chance I get.
