5th Wheel/Gooseneck Hitch Prep Package
I ordered my truck with the 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Hitch Prep Package and the 5th Wheel Hitch Kit - 18K. I have never towed a Gooseneck but I am planning on in with this truck. I have been towing 5th wheels for 8 years.
Does the prep kit come with the ball or do I have to get one aftermarket? Is there anything else I will need to tow Gooseneck?

The ball is separate. You can buy it from Ford but it's much cheaper to buy aftermarket. IE:

It's pretty much a copy of the Reese Elite setup you can get from Ford. All of Ford's GN and 5th items are rebranded Reese Elite.

On second thought, since I'm paying invoice AND I have a fleet discount, it's only a few bucks more to get the smaller package. Score...

i like the pucks that came with the truck better tgat the rail setup, cool idea.

nope, I got the same kit and I have a SRW. I ended up getting 2 *****, but Ford screwed up and gave me two 3" *****. One is supposed to be 2 5/16.
But I ordered a 5th wheel hitch from Ford and it also came with a GN ball kit, so I got a 2 5/16 and rails with that Kit.
i like the pucks that came with the truck better tgat the rail setup, cool idea.

mine was shipped in a box to the dealer he got it yesterday it has my vin on the box my truck was built dec 22nd i thought it would be with the truck eta on truck is 1/16
