Been reading a few threads about trucks being delayed. Is that still happening? what is causing the delay and does anyone work at the factory's that has any detail about how long the delays are? I ordered mine Dec 28th and wondering what's a good ETA of my new truck. I'm not in a rush or anything just want to be prepared for it.
I ordered on 12/30 so we should be getting ours about the same time. My dealer said 6-8 weeks. I sort of chuckled after reading this forum about the delays but he said there was a slowdown but that Ford was getting back on track with the normal 6-8 weeks turnaround. I'm thinking 10 weeks but hopefully no later than that.
FWIW, my F-350 Lariat was ordered on Nov. 3, and delivery is forecast for Jan. 11, about 10 weeks. If the plant shut down for Christmas, this would be more like 9 weeks in the process.
Ordered 12/23 but dont think anything happened until this Monday due to the holidays. Hoping for late February or March as i sold my old truck for a price i couldn't pass on. Have other vehicles, but really need a dedicated daily driver truck again!
Well I'm asking cause I've notice people saying some of the parts on the higher trim trucks are on backorder. Just seeing if there's any truth to that.
I too am interested if anyone has factual info on this. I ordered 05 Dec and chat/dealer still says "processing". I understand the delay in actually building the trucks, but shouldn't I have gotten something more that "processing" after a full month? I've custom ordered from other manufacturer's before, but never left in the dark for an entire month.
Perhaps being a model that is in less demand, Ford waits to do anything until they have a "minimum" on order to justify a production line run of 450's???
I ordered a 250 Lariat on December 5th, it was built on December 22nd and shows a delivery date of January 13th. A few days ago my dealer said the truck was on a rail car in Missouri. This seems to be a fairly quick turnaround based on other posts. I'm just outside of Austin.

I started a thread a couple of weeks ago "no more 450's" and in there is talk about commodity restraints and no 450's will be scheduled till further notice

Have we heard that from any other dealers though? I'm not saying your guy is wrong, but when I asked my dealer about it he showed me his constraint sheet and nothing about 450's at all. IDK?

Ya idk I did post a picture of the letter and it's from ford not on dealer letter head.
Was at dealer today and he showed me my goose neck ball kit came in today with my vin on the box that was ordered with my truck and shows on window sticker I thought it would be sent in the back seat of the truck.
Looks like I'm getting closer
