Frame perches

I finally am down to the bare frame on my 59 f100. She's going in for a blasting and powder coat soon. I feel like I want to remove all the mounting perches (leaf, bed, cab..etc) in order to get any rust that may be between them and the frame. Is it necessary?

Frame prep

i stripped everything that wasn't riveted in, sent it to a place that did media blasting and Powdercoating. Was about 400.00 to have done completely. Check your front engine crossover brace. Mine was cracked. Had 3 pieces of thick tube steel welded inside the bottom of it for reinforcement and prevent flexing there.

Try letting a rust conversion product soak in between pieces.

You can also have the frame acid dipped which will get all the nook and crannies.

I may consider acid dipping. I've got one chance at being thorough.
