New Guy. Ford troubles.
My 2005 Expedition is blowing Fuse 24. I first thought it was the vanity lights or the homelink radio but that didn't check out. It will blow fuse after fuse.
Here is what I have found out. I put a current meter in circuit. When the vehicle is first turned on for about 30 seconds that circuit pulls 30 amps. Then it drops to just 7.5 milli amps. It will run all day (after a warm up) without blowing the fuse but on cold starts it always pulls 30 for the firs half minute. Seems to me that something under the hood is being switched on for a short while during start up and that it is causing this circuit to be sent to ground. Like maybe turning on something that is only needed during start. ???? I have googled myself silly and cant find any online wiring diagrams for the fuse 24 circuit. Can anyone help me?
If this question is better place somewhere else please tell me where and how to post it there.. Thanks, Gpineau
