See the center point of where the trackbar is on both of these brackets?
BDS bracket is made wrong, center point to far to the back which makes it at least 3/4 of an inch off center.
Called them today and got no answers yet. My friend just put a Rough Country 5 inch lift on his Excursion, and his bracket is made about 3/4 of an inch forward, not 3/4 of an inch to the back.
It depends on how the rest of the lift is designed. Have you already put the rest of the lift on? The lift may actually move the axle back some and not straight down.
Yep, the rest of the lift is on. Just eyeballing it I can see the BDS bracket is too far back when it's suppose to be more forward than the stock one. You can see it in the picture.
So I finally took the BDS "relocation track bar bracket" off, and there is no "drop" built into their bracket, they just move the mount for the track bar back so you can use a drop pitman arm.
I thought if you lift a vehicle with a track bar, that the track bar needs to drop down with the axle the same distance at the frame end to keep the front end correct.
I do not have my track bar mounted right now, because I was getting too much bump steer with their bracket, but I need to get a drop bracket before I start towing.
Somebody else a couple of days back was saying the same thing about the BDS drop bracket being off. I was just about to order up one of these setups in the 4 or 6in variety but might wait on that. I believe the other person said he ordered an adjustable track bar for his. When I talked with the shop that will be doing mine about the bracket, they said they have not seen that problem yet and they have done a ton of them. Hope they weren't just feeding me a line of ****.
If BDS's bracket doesn't lower the track bar, then I see it as a problem. An adjustable TB might work to get the length back, but the TB is still sitting at more of an angle with the drag link. I might have to order the Rough Country drop bracket, because my friend has the 5" RC lift with a drop bracket and he has no issues.

I meant to update this awhile back. I ended up buying a 4-6" Pro Comp track bar drop bracket, fixed my bump steer, and fitment problems.
I wish BDS would fix this problem, but when I talked with the engineer, he acted like it was not a problem.
Again, the track bar mount at the frame, should come down the same amount of inches of how much lift you install. Engineers should know this.
The BDS track bar bracket, is just a relocation bracket, has no drop in the bracket, and it should.
