Power Steering Support/Bracket Cross Model Compatiblity Question
I have a power steering support/bracket cross model compatibility question... I figure this is one for parts experts familiar with Ford car FE engine set ups in addition to F100 FE engines
The Ford Truck Master Part and Accessories Catalog shows the two main parts of the Power Steering Pump Support with part numbers "C5SZ 3A732-B" (main bracket) and "C5SZ 3C511-B" (rear Bracket)
I have found a support/bracket combination online described as being for a Thunderbird or F100 for FE engines 352ci - 428ci the part numbers shown are "C5SA-3D515-A" (main bracket) "C7TA-3C511-B" (rear bracket)
My question is, are these parts compatible / interchangeable?
You might want to post a picture of the power steering pump you plan to use. I just went through a nightmare putting Borgeson P/S on my 427 '63 Galaxie. My first OE Ford Eaton pump leaked (having just been rebuilt) and wouldn't put out enough pressure at idle. Second try, my later Ford pump, taken from a junkyard '74 F100, with completely different mounting bracketry, similar to what we fitted to my F100 would not fit in the Galaxie due to packaging issues. My third try was a Borgeson pump that bolted up fine, but needed a two sheeve water pump pulley to run it. You may have to get creative and mix/match/make some portion of your setup. Do you have any future plans for air conditioning? If so, plan for it now as your bracketry will be affected. Hopefully Number Dummy will see this post and be better able to answer your question. Good luck!
The Power Steering system I have is a re-manufactured "Bendix" style pump and gear that was removed from a 1966, 67, or 68 F100 so I am looking for a bracket/support compatible with that.
Don't have a pic available at the moment as part is packed away... I'll try to add one later.

The IDengineering numbers marked on the parts shown are C5SA-3D515-A (adjusting bracket) C7TA-3C511-B (support bracket).
No Ford part numbers marked on parts after 1956, just casting or ID engineering numbers, when applicable.
What year truck are you getting the P/S gearbox from? There are two different types, Bendix & Ford/Saginaw. The steering column is also different with P/S
I couldn't find this C5SA-3D515-A ID engineering number. But, 3D515 is an ID engineering basic number for a 3A732 adjusting bracket.
