Will Escape Trailer Hitch fit an Explorer?

Will Escape Trailer Hitch fit an Explorer?
Thinking of upgrading our 2011 ESCAPE to a fairly new (2014-16?) Explorer and am wondering if there is any point removing my 2" receiver/hitch from the Escape before trading. The new Explorers visually are only slightly bigger than the older Escapes. Might the trailer hitch fit or am I dreaming in technicolor?

You can find a view of an installed hitch from under the vehicle in those links.
Get a factory hitch on the Exploder, leave the other one on the Escape.
