I have 41k on my stock shocks. The other day when i was coming of the hi-way on a curved ramp that was a little bumpy the rear of the truck wanted to spin out.It has been getting worse. My thinking is that the shocks are gone and the wheels are loosing contact with the road.I orderd 4 bilstiens from e-shocks.They wernt cheap but from what i read in this site that they are a huge improvement. What do you think.I will let you know what i think when i get the shocks on.
Thanks for the support.Makes me feel better after spending the coin.By the way it is fun taking the curves sideways. You guys know what i mean.Whooo whooooo
I am just at the point of purchasing new Bilsteins as well - I've read nothing but good things about them. My question - I have the plow package on the my 250 - I should still be able to order the regular heavy duty Bilsteins, correct?
I got mine here locally at High country performance 4x4. $60 a shock is what I ended up paying. I work for a body shop though, so that's at a discounted price. I'd say an average of $70 - $80 is what you'll pay per shock. Definitely worth the money!
I hear Bilsteins are the way to go when shocks need replacing, but are they much better than the OEM shocks that come on a new F350 4x4? I hate to spend money replacing new factory shocks (only 10,000 miles on the truck) but if installing Bilsteins improved the ride and/or handeling, I would do it. Any thoughts?
