I'll bet long research. Those number aren't listed in my January of 1975 Ford microfische slide. But they do show up as being discontinued in my Obsolete slide dated January of 1977. So they were discontinued before this.
Sorry, but none show up at any Dealers, N.O.S. companies, Ebay, or Amazon on any of my locators. Your best bet would be to go to your local Ford dealer and have them try to match something up that you can at least splice in. All vehicle's 18472s are stocked together.

You're welcome. I have seen some question mark shaped hoses before back on the 18472 shelves. It may end up being a few splices but what the heck. They will be hidden behind the unit.
Also, Ford had a hose bender part number D1AZ18573A (replaced C9AZ18573A) that clamped around a straight 5/8" hose to create about a 90* bend without crimping the hose. Like the one below I looked on evilbay to get a pic. They were a real beotch to snap shut over the hose.
xGreen Sales has both part numbers.

1957/67 & 1968 (thru 1/1968) bound paper Truck Parts Catalog sez for 1968:

C8TZ-18472-A .. Hose-Hot Water Heater w/integral A/C / preformed - 5/8" I.D. x 46" long.

C8TZ-18472-B .. Hose-Hot Water Heater w/integral A/C / preformed - 5/8" I.D. x 25.50" long.

Neither of these part numbers are listed in the May 1975 final edition of the 1964/72 truck catalog.

I always got a kick of the picture of that plastic hose bender in parts catalogs, as it was 'very suggestive.'

El Jeffe: Do you recall how long C8OZ-18472-B was? I think it was around 5 ft. This was a preformed (on one end) 5/8" I.D. hose, there are 4 available NOS

Think piecing hose together will be a better bet, rather than that hose bender, Thanks again for the legwork, And to your point it will be behind the box tucked away!

It seems like years ago NAPA had heater hoses with a metal strut in them that allowed the hose to bend sharply while the metal "backbone" kept it from kinking.

I know that Home Depot carries a metal bend that is used for PEX (plumbing) tubing, but I don't know if it will work for you.

I think the C8OZ18472B was around 4 foot Bill. You know how our Parts Bins are 3 feet wide? I remember those C8OZ18472B being wider than the shelf but still fitting, for the most part, on them curved. And not much sticking out.
Hey Texas, the reason Bill keeps bringing this part number up is he does have a good point. If your local dealer doesn't have the pieces to splice together, you might consider the C8OZ18472B. It was around 4 feet long and has a pre-formed 90* on one end. This would give you the 90* at the heater core. You'd just have to splice in the elbow to send the hose through the firewall correctly.

My x-father in law has the dealer AC in his 70 c/s ranger an we used a gray barbed 5/8" 90* PVC from a loco plumping store like home depot that we spliced into that funky heater hose design as the loco ford dealer had any about 20 yrs ago and still holding up. Or leaks the can be seen. What a pain dropping the AC unit out enough to get to the hoses.

1968/72 F100/350:

Factory installed integral A/C is combined with the heater. The A/C controls are in the same panel as the heater controls.

The two types of dealer installed A/C are not combined with the heater. The two A/C switches are mounted on the bezel.

The deluxe dealer A/C bezel bolts to the entire underside of the dash. Economy A/C bezel bolts to the underside of the dash at the center.

Okay then it's factory AC that was in it. I can't remember which was dealer & Factory Air only seen one dealer air then all the other's I come across were Factory AC.

Hated those little pint size glove boxes they have Factory AC's.

Thank Bill, I'll try to remember which is which from now on.
