Difference in clutch pedals?
Pedal all the way up, pedal shaft to main alum bracket I got 83*
W/pedal up and the tab (the long rod fits into) is 152* from the main alum bracket.
So that should tell you the angel of the tab to the pedal shaft.
Tab is 1/4" thick
Tab off set is 5/8"
Tab C to C holes 2-1/2"
If you need some more measurements let me know.

Might also try slightly releasing (raising) the pedal while trying to get into those gears, it gets stuff spinning and sometimes helps.
When you DC you are getting the non-sync gears spinning so if you are trying to get it in to either gear and the spinning gears keep it from doing so. You would want to try putting it into a sync gear like 2nd before trying 1st or rev..
The second part, if stopped and trying to put it in to a sync gear does not work then yes with a little pressure on the lever let up just a little so the gears move just a little but not spin and it should slip into gear.
Now that is if the input shaft is not spinning. If the clutch is adjusted right so it disengages but the input shaft still spins I would say the pilot bushing/bearing is bad and not letting the shaft stop spinning.

By comparison the hydro pedal bracket is 2 3/4" C/L distance between the holes.
