Air conditioner
Can someone tell me the difference between the air conditioner components before 3/17/97 vs after 3/17/97? Both the compressor and the line set say there is a difference but the pictures look the same. Was thinking maybe r-12 vs r-134a but that was 94 right?

No it's not an R-12 vs. R-134a thing, Ford has been using R-134a a lot longer than 1997. While I don't have the answer my best guess would be the size of the cooling line fittings or the OEM manufacturer of the components.
