Winter 2016/17 BS Thread

Winter already. I guess 2016 is almost done.

Everyone have a great Christmas.
Visit people you don't normally see. Even if you don't like them much.
Eat too much. Remember, holiday calories don't count.
And please, remember the reason for the season. However you celebrate it.

Hey Ken! Hope things have been going well for you guys down there. Did you have any issues with fires? I know Red River Gorge had some, and I know there were some farther east in Ky.

We stayed home yesterday. First Christmas we didn't go anywhere. I really liked that!

Hey John.

Sounds relaxing. I went to my mom's, as always, and met up with the family, in-laws, and outlaws. Good times, and good food.

Probably the best thing I did was go unplugged all day.

We had no fires here, but were under a ban on campfires and charcoal grills for several weeks. We got pretty smoked up from the fires down in Estill and Powell counties.

Have a great New Year's.

Happy New Year!

I know 2016 was challenging for some, but it's in the history books now.

I hope everyone has a great 2017.

Anyone have interesting plans for this year?

The annual "Truckstock" gathering is coming back to Kentucky. It's going to be at General Butler State Park near Louisville.

No plans as of yet. Truckstock if I'm not mistaken, is a gathering of the old trucks. I assume you plan to attend. And, will you have your truck there?

They are the old(er) trucks. Typically the '48-'56 crowd. But we do let a Studebaker owner hang out. Soooo.. it's pretty flexible.

Here are the pictures from last year: https://photos.google.com/share/AF1Q...xvWGU2TVY0NG1n

I would love to have my truck there, but don't want to take it in pieces.

I normally don't make New-year's resolutions, but I'm making one for 2017. If it doesn't look like my friend is going to get my truck painted this year, - this spring actually - then I'm going to move it back and do it myself. And I'll do whatever I need to make sure it doesn't effect the friendship. It's just a truck.

General Butler State Park is only about an hour and fifteen minutes from home. If possible, I'll make a trip down there for it.

It was 6 here this morning. The 02 fired right up without the block heater! She didn't like it, but she did!

The first half was an "okay" game, but the second half was one of the most exciting ever.

Props to the Falcons for a good first half, but extra props to the Patriots for holding it together and denying all those statistics the commentators kept quoting.
