3.8 TBI is backfiring through tb and not reving out. Also stumbles all the way up to the 2500 MAXIMUM rpm. already changed fuel filter and checked timing. A little info-I recently transplanted it into a Ranger and am not sure it is 100% correct in all connections but it ran like a top a year ago before I removed it from the mustang. HELP

the problem was found! The oil pump was not priming and the lifters bled down preventing the valves form opening fully. I built a new oil filter piece and the pump lost prime in the installation processs. Look for pics in the next little while in the ranger forum. Thanks for the suggestions.
