my neighbor gasser has the plastic liner and he put bed matt thats what gave me idea of it. Plus the matt looks much better even just hosed off the place that makes must put some kinds of coating on it before they roll em up
If the mat is thicker than the head of the bolts, chalk the head of the bolt, lay the mat in the bed and then lift it back out. The bolt heads will have deposited chalk to mark their locations. Take a drill and bore out the bottom side of the mat just a bit to give the heads clearance.

LOL...it wouldn't matter if the mat was thinner or thicker than the bolts...because the mat sits on top of the bolt. Ya see what we're saying???? Doesn't matter how thick the mat is...it still rises at that point that it touches the bolt in all four spots. BUT....you have a great suggestion to take a little rubber out of the mat on the bottom to get it to at least sit a little more flat.

Ford already made a spot for bed bolts sits perfectly level
Yep, just use a hole saw and make some nice cutouts for the 5th prep. I did the same on my 12 and will do it again on my 17.
The best thing about the mat is it keeps things from sliding all over during acceleration and braking. Both the drop in liner and spray liner have no grip. The bed mat cures a lot of this.
LOL....what the heck are you talking about dude....where did Ford "make a spot on the bed mat"??? Are you not looking at the pic? The mat is level on the bottom...AND sticks slightly up on top of the bolt. That was the WHOLE purpose of the comment. Yeah...it's not that bad...barely noticeable.....but it sat FLATTER with the old female bolts. Nothing more...nothing less...but there is no "Spot" on the mat to compensate for this....LOL

I guess they took a dremel or something and removed a little bit ...yes bolts are gay they should be flush mounted but mine are also not sprayed over
