Head liner console????
Ok guys...I'm obsessed with the console( don't know of another name for it) that comes on the F250 SD's with the Lariat Pkg that is mountrd on the headliner. Has anyone attemped to install one of these units on just an XLT truck? Is the wiring harness up there in the roof? I also wonder if there is a harness that is wired into the truck harness where the other componets would hook up to...outside air temp, mileage componet, compass etc? I see that the F-150 XLT has a console that just gives outside air temp and compass...maybe this would be easier to install..what do you fellas think?????

I recall other threads in this forum on the same topic. Apparently, trucks without the console from the factory have no wiring provisions to add one after the fact. It can be done, however. Your largest financial expense is the cost of the console itself. But you will have quite a bit of labor on your hands wiring it in. I suggest doing a search in this forum if you don't get the answers you want, as this question might have been answered before. I warn you, however, that most people just gave up after they found out how much labor was involved.
