perhaps part #F6TE-JA for the ring?
Do you think that "4 prong reluctor ring"/"star wheel"/"tone ring"/"4 point you are referring to is the pulse ring for the misfire sensor", could be pressed on to the damper? (all those different names I came across when reading different articles..)

here is another thread that mentions your part
"you can find the balancer I posted pics of, you can just press the 4 tooth wheel off and press a 36-1 wheel on.(In the right location, of coarse.) That will give you a 28oz balancer set up for a 351 or a 347 stroker for DIS. The part number is F6TZ-6312-JA. "

This probably will not fit but I would check with Number Dummy and see if it will cross over

I read a post that said 1996 OBD-ll F150's with 5.8 use this misfire sensor. Does yours have OBD-ll Wirelessengineer?
AH editing as I find info....
another post says: All '96 F150s under 8500 pounds were OBDII. F250s and 350s aren't. IS your E350 over 8500lbs?
Ok, It is a misfire sensor, not a crank sensor, and ties in with the emissions not the ignition system. the pics are from a 1996 F150 with a 5.0. The truck is a 96 built in 08/95 and has a distributor and MAF. with a relocated TFI.

On this pic you can see the actual sensor location on top of the damper. It is covered with a metal shield.

Here is a thread asking if it can be eliminated. If eliminated, will lit pass emissions, I don't know.

They do pre '72 motor mounts and driveshaft supports too!
Bingo. That's it. Mine is the E350. It's got an OBDII port that has power to it, but it doesn't do anything. Out near the battery there is a proprietary Ford diagnostic port that actually works if you have the Ford machine that reads it.
Very confusing, as I usually take my van to a local shop for work, and they were trying to get info from the OBDII port one time, and of course it wasn't working no matter what they did.
