Had a '91 F150 SCSB 4x4 that I replaced every rubber bushing. This also had a 2 1/2" lift on it with extended radius arms. The ride was a little rough on the city streets where the speed was under 35 mph. Two lane roads were better as the speed was in the 55+ range. Concrete interstate got the pickup to bucking, but I think any truck would on these roads. But where this setup shined was on the gravel/dirt roads. When ever I could I would drive these roads as the steering was spot on and the ride was great. I had a couple of people test drive it while I was selling it and they all commented on the ride and handling on the gravel roads.
I did poly bushings on my 92 f150.
Did the leafs and shackles and both pivot bushings up front.
Made a huge improvement, it tightened up the whole truck. I don't have to constantly adjust the wheel while driving, tracks pretty good now.
Yup I did all poly in the suspension and also did the ball joints with XRP. Rides like a new truck now. I will say some of the rear energy suspension bushings didnt fit properly though. I had to buy new bolts and drill out the holes slightly or there would have been slop.
I did the front end bushings don't notice much different ride but they are alot easier to put in then the factory style bushings.
The easiest way I found to remove the old bushings was to drill out as much of the rubber with a 3/8 drill bit. Then take a hammer and knock out the rest of the rubber. Use a air chisel and push out the metal drum, clean up the inside of the hole and push the new poly's in.
