I put down a deposit on a brand new F250 SD tonight. If all goes well she should be sitting in my driveway tomarrow. Details if anyone is interested:
f250 SD XL 4X4 reg cab long bed.
5.4L engine
auto trans
4:10 gears with limited slip
towing package
snowplow prep package
telescoping mirrors
A/C and cruise control (A/C !!!!!! )
sliding rear window
all terrain tires
cassette
color: Arizona beige
tan interrior. cloth seat.
I like this truck a whole lot. I am a fan of stripper models, with just the few esentials like A/C. I can't wait for her to be mine.
I will miss my trusty ole F150 though, but the beige color will remind me of her.
Don't be ashamed of an XL. I love mine. Even more so when I see people posting problems w/ power windows, doors, and mirrors. And in my case I have manual 4x4. No dreaded nightmares of ESOF going south on me. Don't get me wrong, they are nice but I don't have to worry about much going wrong on my rig. And as I use my as a truck and in 4x4 quite often (as opposed to just a big purty truck for the pavement) I don't worry to much about what I do to it up in the mountains after wapiti!
Regards,
Jeff

I had a 78 f150 300I, 3 on the tree, 2WD, no P/S or AC. Drove it for 12 years, rebuilt engine once.
All I can say is you are going to LOVE your new one!!!

RRMike, Is that a bowtie with a saddle tank blowing up?
I think from the rounded turret that it's a T-62 but could be a 55 or 72 for all I know. Too far away to tell for sure. About as worthless as a chevy compared to a Ford though.
Anyway is that new truck home yet?! I know you're probably out driving the tires off it and showing everyone you know but when you get done with that we expect feedback!
