Seems like somewhere above in thread, someone IDs ALCAN as Aluminum Company of Canada & the google confirms, so that one is definitely cast up there.
It's the original lower from my 94.
I have no idea what CMIPM, ( if that's what it is ) save for a search yielding "Common Management Information Protocol Machine."
I have another from an original 95 that is also a CMIPM

CMI (Auttocom) was a cast parts maker in Detroit. From a Google search they were bought out in the late 90’s. I don’t know what the PM is for, model probably?
My original lower intake (Canadian built truck) has a CMI intake.
Alcan was a huge Cdn company, aluminum products. It’s been bought out a few years too.. Rio Tinto Alcan now, or something like that. Not sure if they still are around or broken up.
Nice job on the intakes by the way.

As far as I know, the last spaces in a casting/engineering# are the revision numbers.
For instance, you could be assured that a "BC" at the end would be a later production part than a "BB".
That represents who-knows-what changes are incorporated in the design of that part, maybe none at all.
I'm sure that info is somewhere at Ford unless they erased it which is entirely possible, since they trash a lot of info.
This is universal across all Ford parts, so BB doesn't really care where it was cast, it should be identical.
