Ok so I whent with Xlt because that's the only way you can get the manual transfer , I also didn't want to pay the extra premium from jumping up to lariat the only standard feature that I saw justifiable was the leather but for $5000 I saved that chip, so the cloth seats are great real tough like a new pair of 501 jeans. The shrink to fit ones before washing. They are Heavily starched from the factory. But I like that . Also with the options on the outside it has all the parts like the door Handles and tailgate , finished and painted just like the upper trims I got that by getting the chrome package ... Then I reinvested the 5000 in savings from jumping trim ,back into twin panel sunroof and ultimate trailer cameras and extra camera to instal on my fifth wheel also got the camper and fifth wheel prep. Aux switches sync 3 nav bench seating in the front adaptive steer. Inflatable seat belts for the kids. All in all I beleave I got the ford truck enthusiest truck that was right for me. May not be for everyone eles but I enjoy this set up.
It is good to know the fabric is heavily starched. Maybe it will soften up some before shorts season.
CONGRATULATIONS - Great looking truck!! May you have many happy hauling miles in it!
WolfFox,
Just wanted to say I really admire your taste in trucks too. I have one on order now that looks to be identical to yours, including the bronze fire, except it's an F450. I struggled back and forth for a long time as I have an F350 KR now and we LOVE it, but in the end I opted for the F450. My wife and I bought a new 43 ft. 5th wheel toy hauler this year and we plan to put mega miles on it in retirement. In other words, it's my "last" truck so I wanted to make it count.
How do you like your rig? Do you pull something with it?
Sorry, I just say this post. We will be pulling a 40 1/2' 16K 5th wheel. In fact, it just came in last night and is getting prepped I type. We will be picking it up the day after Christmas. I looked at trying to get the SRW, but the Pin weight was just going to be to heavy. Glad I got the DRW. I have no problem getting around town, parking going through drive through's or any of the negative things peeps talk about on here. The only thing would be the turning, which you will have no problem with. If I was going to pull over the 23K range, I would go with a F450. Your gonna love that 450. I'm loving this 350 DRW

Makes sense, thanks. I've also noticed the same about the cloth seats in the two XLT's I've seen at the dealer....they appear and feel like better quality than the GM and Ram. Like you I much prefer the handles in chrome and/or painted to match over the black plastic.
