elec problems with f-250
ok, heres the deal, it makes absolutely NO sense to me but its beginning to tick me off. Say I drive around, doesnt matter how long, could be 2 hrs, could be 5 minutes. shut the truck to go do whatever, try to crank it and the battery is dead. but the kicker is that if i let the truck sit for about an hour or so, it will crank right up.Profanity Removed????? weird, the batt is dead if i turn it off and try to start it right back up, but if i let it sit it cranks right up......very frustrating cause its causing me to have to leave my truck on when i go run errands unless i'm gonna be somewhere for about an hour or so. any opinions? i'm stumped on this one.

did you check and see if the headlights will light, when your truck wont start? if they do, you need to do some checking of the starter and or starter selniod on the fender and the related connections. if the headlights wont light, you need to look at your main connections on you positive AND negative cables. for some reason, when your truck is hot, you are getting VERY high resistance (ie bad connections, broken wires, coroded wires and connections) somewhere in starting circuit that is not allowing enough current to the starter selinoid to activate or to turn the starter.
