so I now have a 54 panel that I have been driving for 8 years , A few months ago I bought a 53 F 100 short bed with a 70s chevy clip and 350 , I am now redoing it . I also got a 53 F 350 from the original owners grandson , It has a flat head and 3 speed . The body is very good and I am looking forward to this build . As the 53 F 100 had some kind of 70s GM grill in it I have been looking for a 53 Grill . Yesterday I Bought a 53 for parts for $300 I will use the grill , spare tire carrier , seat , gauge cluster , and a few other things , The seller also has a F 250 that has good chance of being rebuilt for $600 , Yes I bought that too . Now there is a tow truck with a caddy v8 conversion that I may need to buy , the tow bed would look good on my F 350 . He wants a $1000 for it . Somebody talk me out of this stuff , or give me a place to live when the wife kicks me out .
I like to bundle, I say buy them all!
I know for sure I would be buying that tow truck just to use for a Christmas decoration, beats the hell out of lit up deer!
You came to the wrong place to have someone talk you out of buying more trucks! You know we are all enablers! If we can't buy them we can live vicariously through someone that can.
Good luck and show us pictures when you get them home.
I think that I am finally "over the hill"...that all looks like just a bunch of work to me right now. I knew that this day might come, I only wished it came AFTER all the projects in the barn were completed!
Yeah, I would say you got a bad case of truckietis. Un fortunately the only cure for it is, getting old enough where your hands don't move anymore. Work fast and you may get them all completed, but then there was that wrecker in the pic I saw, I think you should get that also, I really like it.
OOH that's a 5 star beside the wrecker too. Lots of good chrome and no telling what else. I would be in a bind if that was closer to me, I would get all the fords there.
