If I get it started it idles rough and will only rev to around 3000 rpm (probably limit in park) No codes, sprayed as much of intake and vac tubes,as I could, with carb cleaner and detected no vac leaks.
There is a clicking noise from engine like maybe lifter or rocker arm clatter.
I just bought this and knew it had this problem but could not start it before I brought it home.
It has sat for over a year and this is exactly how the lady I bought it from explained the problem.
When it first did this for her she was close to a dealer, pulled in and bought a new Exp, and had this one towed home.
Pretty nice old car that I hope will be a quick, inexpensive fix.
