Sorry for asking but I'm still a newbie and would like some input as well as some insight into improving my gas mileage for my truck. First, I would like to say that I don't expect 18 MPG from this beast but I would like to achieve 15 MPG if possible without down grading my performance.
I recently bought this truck and the first thing I had done to it was a tune-up. It ran will before but it ran that much better after the tune-up. So needless to say, it's basically in stock condition with some minor adjustments done to the timing and carburation. I advanced the timing a couple of degrees and lowered the curb idle after the advancement. After that, I leaned the fuel/air a bit and adjusted the idle again. Other than that...it's stock.
Ideas? I'm looking for inexpensive modifications before I start dumping money into the drive train.
