I have a 1986 F-250 Extended Cab 4x4 that the two panels by the shoulderbelt that wrap around the back to the back window have faded from dark blue to a kind of a tan color.
These are the only two in the whole truck that have done that, they are made of plastic and I want repaint them. Do I need paint made for plastic or can I use regular spray paint?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Leonard Bode

After the complete cleaning and degreasing, you can use a couple of different types of paint products used on plastics. Both of them are made by Sem and are available at auto paint supplies stores.
never used it but on tv the other day i saw krylon had new paint that supposedly painted plastic with no prepwork. might be worth a try. forget what it was called.
