OIL pan removal ---- help
i have an 86 f250 with the 460 and in my haynes manual it says i need to jack the motor. that seems like a lot of work for a gasket change to me but if i have to i will. is there an easier way? thank you

I think there is no real easy way to change the oil pan gasket unless you jack-up the engine and remove the pan. Be careful to remove anything that will bind or become damaged against the firewall when jacked up. I had to even unbolt the exhaust pipes on a 351W I did this to in order to get it high enough. You might have to drain the radiator and remove the top hose. Sorry, there is no other route but this I'm afraid.

it's probably easier just to pull it out, if you have the cherry picker and the tools (plus you can clean and paint the engine bay., but if you don't, follow the procedure in the haynes manual.
