Manually lock your front hubs.

If the 4wd is working, throw some weight in the back. I carry 5 80lb tubes of sand in my daily driver

If you're still running on the factory issued "Contracrap" tires, get rid of those. They're only good for tire fires.

This snow came out of nowhere.

How do I manually lock them? Still out on the street buried. Later on Imma have to dig it out and get it in the parking lot.

Turn the front hubs to LOCK. Turn on 4WD when you need it.

Super dutys aren't really the best 4x4 out there, at least compared to compact 4x4 rigs. They work but their real intention isn't "a runabout truck".

First snowfall - - WTH?? Oh wait, forgot it is mid November. That white stuff is not really a concern to us in S Florida. No real hills either.
Y'all up north enjoy the winter season

I plow with my stock Michelins 275-70-18's. A dedicated snow tire would be the best solution. If you have the stock conti's forget driving in the snow.

So it is still stuck. And guess whats under the snow that I was able to get to park? Yes...10,000 leaves. Making matters worse.

I have AAA. See if they tow it to get new tires. Ill never get home everynight at this rate. These are not big hills by any means.

Any suggestions on all terrain tires? Or tires that can get me home everyday it snows?

if your front axle is locked and the transfer case is working you should not have an issue, sounds like you have another problem causing you to only have 2wd.

Is your 4wd working and you're just stuck, or is your 4wd not engaging?

Just from experience, I have used BFGoodrich AT's and General Grabber AT's.
My preference is the BFGoodrich AT KO2 tires, they perform very well in the snow and are significantly quieter than the previous version.

The Continentals on my last F350 wouldn't even 'pull' my 3-4% driveway without a running start. Switched to a set of Kumho's and that problem went away. Leap forward, the current F250 had Firestone's. Not great but the new Michelin's didn't even need 4wd.

What you didn't say is that this snow storm drop is sloppy and about the consistency of wet concrete. It packs and gets icy. If your truck is buried in a foot plus of that slop, it just wont go. Oh and the Capital District/Saratoga part of NY State - only about an inch of sloppy stuff, most of which is long gone today

I heartily disagree. I have had three SD diesel 4x4s and, tho I do not deal with snow here, they have been used in off road recovery, towing trailer into areas for picking up off road buggies and doing some general wheeling....Amazed the ****e out of people when I made it thru box canyon in the 09 CCLB. I drug an abandoned 70s bronco about 6 miles on its roof from a wheeling area up some pretty knarly climbs and thru all this I continued in areas where the chubbies failed to climb and one of the runs I had to tow the dodge up and out of the wash..... No, they are not made to do what the little 4x4s are, but these things are beasts in their own right
