Transfer case seal leaking.

Check your rear seals on transfer case, mine appears to be slinging oil, cleaned twice already.

ok after 5 trips to dealer I have now called in the region manager. They replaced the seal once, about one and a half months ago, and continue to tell me it is just residual oil, from the being built and the seal change. I cleaned the bottom of the truck yesterday and installed my gopro. residual oil my ***. I will be demanding a new T-case.
35 minute video with an explanation in the description. And after seeing this picture I think he installed the wrong seal. No same color seal he tried to seal it with silicone on one of my visits.

Could be residual cosmoline from the assembly process.

I'd wipe everything off and tape a white paper towel up there so you can see the color and amount.

done that once a week since new not cosmoline, it is Trans oil from the T-case, the dealer even put dye in the oil to see. They still don't want to fix it. The leak concerns me becahuse the t-case only holds about 1.5 quarts of oil, I have spare oil so I can top it back off after about 2 weeks of driving. But I shouldn't have to do that.

This is where it's nice to have another dealer that is local. Sounds like customer service is not a priority at yours.

Been to 2 different dealers, One in Simi and my local where I bought the truck, the Simi one changed the seal initially I have 2 more to try but I now have a regional manager working on it. My locla one is always a PIA to get into with a Diesel, they only have 2 diesel techs and do all our utilities vehicles, DWP, Phone. etc so when I try to take mine in they want to keep it for 3 weeks before they can even look at it. I was lucky when I finally got it in to them, only took 4 days for them to look at it.

You shouldn't need a diesel tech for a transfer case issue.

And you mean they can't schedule it for a day 2-3 weeks out? Say, drop it off on the 18th and we'll look at it that day? That's just bad service/scheduling/planning on their part. It's just like a doctor. You don't go sit in the office for 3 weeks, you make an appointment. You may sit there an extra hour, but at least you know the day.

Nope, their appointments are to drop it off, but it may not get looked at for 3 weeks, The dealer in Simi I can get it looked at that day but I was hoping the bigger dealer would decide to fix it, not just put Silicone sealant on it.

I have never seen a seal that didn't also drip down as well as spray around.
Is the vent plugged?

I thought about that I cant find a vent on the t-case, Ill keep looking. Especially since it seems to leak after it warms up, made me think it was a vent issue.

I would be pissed if a 70k plus new vehicle leaked on my driveway.

Luckily it has dripped yet, but I keep wiping it off so it doesn't, I am more pissed that the dealers keep blowing it off as no big deal. My comment to my last Service writer was "so I should just drive it till it fails?" his comment was, "well it is under warranty"
