Looking for a snow plow

I just bought a 78 f250 and I can find a used plow for it and it seems nobody make anything that bolts straight up. Is there a company I missed or is there something on the market that is close that I could do minor alterations to make it fit.

Your best bet will be to find a used one...Fisher, Meyers, & I believe Western all made plows specifically for the 77.5-79 F250's.
I have a Meyer's setup off of a 78 F250 in upstate NY if you're interested in taking a road trip.

What would you want for it?

I know of one for a 78-79 4x4 (according to the grill) but I don't know if it's for sale. It's been sitting on the ground in front of the truck for several years now. Where do you live? This one is in S.E. Michigan. I could stop & ask about it.

I agree the price is good. I paid $300 for mine which used to be my grandpas but that's another story. My buddy usually sells them for around $800 and they sell all the time.

My opinion $350 is a deal since these older plows almost always need something. I remember the when mine was new and how little it was used yet it still gives me fits. It's a 1994 model and needs resealed, new hoses etc. Last winter I found out the hard way when it kept freezing because of water in the oil.

What's your 20? Come on back! Sorry for the CB lingo. Just heard a Johnny Cash song. I know where one is that is mounted on a '78 F250 that the owner's lookin to part with.

His is probably a better plow blade itself than mine. Mine is the poly which is nice for weight but probably a cheaper setup.

Well then, disregard my response. I live too far away, in Connecticut.

I just drove there and asked the owner about it. It's at an auto-body shop. I pulled in and the bright yellow 4x4 was gone but the plow remained. The man said he sold the truck to a guy in Traverse City about 2 years ago and the guy just finally picked it up last week. That explains why I never saw a for sale sign on it.

Unfortunately he is keeping the plow for his Bronco as he needs a plow for his shop's yard. Sorry.
