Help Me Please
After I replace my spark plugs... I now have a hiss sound from my front of engine right side of a 1987 302.
If I cover the exhaust tail pipe with my hand the engine dies, telling me that it is not a exhaust leak.
I have torque my spark plugs to 18 pounds, So there is not leak there.
The engine runs really good but at low rpm I can hear the hissing sound.
When I floor the truck it runs like a bat out of H?ll.
Any ideas.
I notice that the air pump at low idle at the end piece has a vaccum but at higer idea it blows air.

Its sounds like in the process of changing the plugs you disconnected a vacuum line . Some vacuum lines have plastic T's that over time become very brittle & break easily . Go back over the engine inspecting all the vacuum lines you may have come in contact with during the spark plug replacement .
