Hi All

Hi all wanted to say hi to everyone am the new guy. I have a 1975 F150 supercab longbox 460 Ranger XLT 119000 on her factory ac never been touched was my dads truck he has owned since 1977. Spent lots of time in this truck growing up.

Dad passed away a couple of months ago and I got the old girl out of the garage for the first time in a long time and she fired right up like she always did. I will be doing a complete frame up restoration on her like dad has wanted to do for years. I will put some pictures up if I can figure it out

Thanks Jim

Welcome rvb. That's a sharp looking truck. I'm sure you will do your dad proud.

My condolences for your father. He had a beautiful truck and kept it immaculate.

if it runs fine, started right up after sitting for a long time and with how good it looks, I don't think that i'd do a frame up restoration on it. I think i'd keep it all original and just maintain it, keep it as is, factory, stock, original survivor truck. just my thought on it though. nice looking truck.

Welcome! If that is what your truck currently looks like, I would say no restoration is needed. It's beautiful just as it is!

Yes it does look good dad had a body job done in the 80s cab corners and wheel lips on box and a terrible bondo job done and going to replace cab corners and wheel lips with new metal and new base clear paint dark ginger met and wimbolton white as for the frame was just going to paint it all again need all weatherstrips also.

Truck was under coated for years so wanted to power wash all it off truck hasent seen a winter since the early 80s if I am not mistaken so no need for it and very messy to work on lol
