my son has a 1966 ford we need to take the oil filter fitting out to put in his new motor , when you take the oil filter off the fitting that the oil filter screws on to , that is what we do not know how to get out . please help
No bolts holding it in?
My 390 is bolted to the block if im not mistaken
If you can't get it out, Im sure you can buy them at a local parts store for a buck or 3
One little problem to address here.
Tina indicates the engine is a 302, this was not available on a 66 if I remember correctly.
Andy is correct, on the FE engines (352 in a 66), the oil filter "extension" housing is bolted to the block with four bolts. On the 302 engine (just checked the Cougar's) however, the filter is just spun on and seats against the engine block. Make sure what engine we have first.....
