My stock windshield washer unit is now fully operational.
The washer jar, lid with valve and hose, and two hoses from pump to jar and jar to nozzle came from Mid fifty on Thursday. I hooked it up today. And after all these years, it works!
One problem as you can see. The stream of fluid is off. The passenger side hits the lower corner of the windshield while the drivers side stream misses entirely. So tomorrow I'll look to see if the nozzle is adjustable.
Number Dummy, was this nozzle used for many cars and trucks over several years? If so perhaps someone who has a car with a washer unit might know.

The nozzle and foot pedal and diaphragm and bottle holder were on the truck when I got it. The only things I bought from MidFifty are the bottle, lid, F valve, and the hoses.

Where the fluid squirts out the nozzle you should see what looks like a screw head, that is actually a ball and socket and you can change the angle by using a precision screw driver..
If there is not a slot for a screw driver you could use a small allen key to insert in the hole to redirect the flow.

Hard water deposits can cause the spray from the nozzle to be erratic. The nozzle could also be partially clogged with wax.
TAAA-17666-A .. W/S Washer Nozzle > all 1953/56 trucks except School Bus and P series Parcel Delivery / Obsolete
No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

Remove the nozzle and soak it in "Lime Away" or a similar product.

Good idea about soaking the nozzle. I was surprised that water came out at all! Last week before my parts came I blew air thru the nozzle to make sure it was open.

Thanks for the pic Abe, It gave me the idea I should be able to replicate that bracket. I have lots of mason jars from my other hobby so I'll just pick one and build the bracket around it. I dug thru my junk drawer and came up with some nozzles and stuff. I'm thinking you inspired me to cross further over to the dark side and install washers for my windshield Original, it didn't even have a wiper on the other side. My stock restoration dream has long gone aside since I hooked up here.

But anyhow, I don't think putting in a washer unit which was available as a stock option is going to the Dark Side.
My stock bracket and repopped jar is a tight fit, really tight. I was going to put some thin foam padding around the jar but i won't need to, nor could I, since it was so tight.
