Nice truck! I want to 12v swap mine too... Minus the go-fast parts. I'm lookin more for a "gets you there every time no matter how tough the battle" kind of truck! Digging the custom work and givin er hell despite a wrecked shoulder!
The first pull was supposed to be this weekendbut it was rained out so I had more time to set this f700 up for towing. May 10th is supposed a drag race event with a bunch of guys from work bringing out their junk. Should be a good time. I might be the only truck but should still be fun. Then Saturday night is the Hillsboro truck pulls. We should be good for both
I got that 700 on an auction site for 1400 bucks! 93 12v Cummins allison auto. It had a leaky heater core and a broken throttle pedal. Now I have figure out if I should build my bus into a truck or build this 700
I know this is a little off topic but I have put about 350 miles on this f700. I went on a 150 mile each way trip to pick up a fire rescue truck from an auction. Did good, I crossed the scales at 23,580 lbs. Run 70mph for the most part and got an average of 8 mpg, so that's not too bad I guess. I checked the oil before I left and again when I got there. This is what's got me worried....the oil was so clean that you almost couldn't see it on the dipstick. Usually it turns black very soon after changed, in my experience anyway. But not this truck so I pulled the valve covers to check the valves and holy cow, the inside of this engine is really clean.
