it isn't (on the cluster/display) - but you CAN see it if you use forscan lite (on a phone) or read the PID's using the laptop

So the number 70 from the spreadsheet eliminates the need for resistors if I decide to go all led? Just weighing out my options for these lights now.

Maybe this question has been asked, but what is the approximate range of the bluetooth receiver? My laptops are all Chromebooks, however, my desktop is running Windows 10 and is just on the other side of the garage wall. With the truck in the garage, I'd guess distance between the desktop and OBD port would be about 15'.

Thanks!

When I meet people at Walmart to program their truck my MXBT only gives me about 8' of usable distance but I'm not sure if this is because of my laptop or the range of the adapter itself.

I would say the closer the better to ensure a solid connection.

I use a bluetooth device that is installed inside my RV trailer. I can be in the driver seat of my truck and still communicate with the device from my Android phone. But the device is mounted high in the trailer so the signal doesn't have to go through the body of the truck, or not much of it. It's worth trying to see if your desktop will get the signal. I bet it will.

Ideally, you want to be IN the truck while programming to be able to respond to the FORScan screen as things are occurring. I can't imaging having to run back and forth between a laptop and my truck.

Technically, Bluetooth is classified by standard (e.g., Class 1, Class 2, Class3, etc.), and each standard has a minimum range.

From the Wiki entry @ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth

Range is power-class-dependent, but effective ranges vary in practice. See the table on the right.

Officially Class 3 radios have a range of up to 1 metre (3 ft), Class 2, most commonly found in mobile devices, 10 metres (33 ft), and Class 1, primarily for industrial use cases,100 metres (300 ft).[2] Bluetooth Marketing qualifies that Class 1 range is in most cases 20–30 metres (66–98 ft), and Class 2 range 5–10 metres (16–33 ft).

I found code for Auto/Manual Regen
IPC original code no REGEN 720-07-02-0A42-48C4
MOD w/Auto REGEN 720-07-02-0A4A-48CC

also seems to of had trailer blind spot but not needed since XL
Original w/out 720-09-01-4020-0100-089A
w trailer blind spot 720-09-01-C020-0100-081A
Livinitup, I can confirm the Mod w/Auto REGEN 720-07-02 - works, and adds it to the IPC, I am curious if anyone who ordered there trucks with the feature 'Operator Commanded Regen' could share there as built files, so maybe it can be discovered how to enable this in trucks that were ordered without it.

The ford video's online state this feature is great for people who use there trucks for heavy city driveing. It can only be activated after a few criteria are met. My filter currently is only 70%.

Finally got around to doing a few changes today.

Double horn honk disabled
Show temps on gauges
Secure idle
Add DPF filter % to screen

Might do some more but that was all for now.

Has anyone figured out, how to enable manual regen with active regen inhibit with forscan?

I suspect the needed lines will be located in the IPC and possibly BCM?

I'm new to Forscan. I've only done a couple changes. With that said was wondering if anyone knew the coding to add just the chmsl camera. Not sure about 17 but 18 you could order it separately. Or if there is a way to read what module and lines would control it so I could compare it with one that is programmed from factory. Thanks

According to the 2017 Super Duty Workshop Manual regarding replacing the CHMSL Camera:

Installation
All vehicles
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Vehicles equipped with a high mounted stoplamp mounted camera
2. Using a diagnostic scan tool, following the on screen instructions for the LIN New Module
Initialization-BCM configure the BCM.

Seems like if it can't be figured out in FORscan, a Dealer could initialize it.
