1951 F2 frame dimensions
I posted a few days ago about discovering that my frame is bent... I have done some measuring on the frame and it doesn't seem to have a diamond in it, just the passenger side rail is bent down around the back spring mount on the front spring. I also discovered today as I was taking the front springs off the axle that the axle has a twist in it and someone had put a tapered shim between the axle and spring just on the passenger side.
The other day I had talked to the guy that runs the frame machine at a local shop... he says he doesn't have the frame dimensions on anything that old, so the best he can do is to make the passenger side match the driver side... and if the driver side is also bent, it still won't be right.
Are the frame repair dimensions available anywhere? Or do I just need to have both sides match and hope for the best?
Any advise is appreciated...
Thanks -Bear

I doubt it... that should have left a gap and everything was very tight... and the axle definately has a twist in it... the 2 rear nuts on the driver side I couldnt put a socket on because the lower flange was in the way... the other 6 I could. So after I realized that, I looked at it closer and can see the twist in it.
Thanks for the dimensions... maybe that will give the frame guy what he needs to straighten it.
