Question Clutch switch

88 F150 6 -- I have to push the clutch nearly thru the floorboard
to start. DO I have to pull the instrument panel to hget to the
clutch switch -- seems to be pretty high on the firewall.
Also, can I just wire it out -- I don't use the speed
control, but it also hooks to the computer, and I don't know why

Thanks

Clutch switch

It's easy to adjust, and easy to reach. It's above the gas pedal wrapped around the clutch master cylinder pushrod. The Haynes manual shows how to do it.

You might need a bushing kit, you can buy the kit at ford for like 10 bucks, If you have any play in your pedels, thats your problem.
