Super Door Seal

Came across this on u-tube and it looked like a great idea. Anyone ever try it?

Epic strikes again! Yeah, that's an oldie but a goodie from our FTE buddy...

The new 2017 seals are supposed to be much better and not need the mod from what I've read though...

I actually did this on my 2014 thanks to epic. Turned out awesome.

The doors on my new truck shut like a lincoln though and the sound in the cab is non existent. No plans on messing with them at this point.

I did it to my 2011, and yes, it needed the mod.

Very quiet on the road, but this mod really helped.

Many thanks to the fella that came up w/ that.

I'm hoping it's not needed on the 2017, aluminum doors and all, but it if is, it sure is easy.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the closure and seal on these '17's friend. Nice and snug!

What was the lube you used EC? Looked almost like a can of breakfree. I was thinking about silicone.

Should have known it was Epic at work! Haven't got my baby yet and don't plan on fixing something that isn't broke yet, but may need this in 5 years.....

I think Epic can improve anything. I would guarantee that is silicone lube. Oil base products are not good on rubber gaskets. I also spray the outside of the seal with silicon in the fall to help prevent winter freeze up of the seals. (Also good on jacket zippers because it does not stain clothing, almost guaranteed.)

Ive done this on previous years, but the 17 door seals seem to be much better. Heck just hearing the door close it sounds great.
