Pardon the dirty truck, but couldn't wait to get the letters on, so a little Meguiars Quick Detail spray where the letters go, followed by a denatured alcohol wipe, and they're on. I did the tailgate also, but figured pictures of that are not necessary.
Raw carbon on Blue Jeans. I wanted something subtle, yet still obvious, especially when the sun hits it. After applying them, I was thinking, wouldn't it be cool to put down vinyl letters first, as a drop shadow, followed by the Tufskinz? If only they weren't so darn pricey...
I installed front and back caribou lettering on platinum white F350. I learned a few things in the process as well.
As a Canadian customer expect to pay more both in exchange rate and duties.
Also remember to take off the red tape. I thought the letters would be sticky removing from the cardboard backing. So I lightly sprayed them taking care not to touch the sticky part and held down for 30 seconds. Then I moved onto the next one. Same thing spray and stick. Along came a gust of wind and sticker fell off! That is when I realized the tape was the backing not the cardboard lol
If anyone is on the fence about what it would look like on your truck, post up a large picture of your truck, and what color insert you are looking at, and I can photoshop it for you.
