$40 a pop seems a bit to much. How do you line these up? Eye ball or some sort of guide?

According to the website:

Installation Details

  1. Clean hood stamp to remove wax and oils
  2. Remove 3M tape liner
  3. Center in "SUPERDUTY" Stamp
Total install time : 5-10 min

Love the look, worried it may be a pain to keep clean once gunk starts accumulating in the gaps. Definitely dig the way it looks though!

They do look great, but I agree with powellbj that they will be hard to keep clean & free of bug guts. I wonder how the finish will hold up? I've added numerous chromed plastic trim in the past and they always claim to be equal to the OEM parts, but rarely does the finish hold up more than a year or two. My '08 is on it's second chromed abs tailgate handle, and if I wasn't about to trade it, I'd be replacing it again. I do have polished stainless "Super Duty" letters in the embossed tailgate, and they've held up very well.

Question, will the 2016 inserts fit our 17's?

Yes to the '17 stuff its different than the earlier ones. I like the REAL Carbon Fiber ones, they are thin and have a coating of resin on them so they should last as long as the truck...

Hey guys, Stoked you are diggin my Super Duty Inserts! I just joined to answer any questions about our hood and tailgate inserts.

@SLEEPYGUY Yes the guide to install these are the embossed stamps on the hood and tailgate, Its like having an alignment jig built on the truck. It's much easier to install compared to vinyl letters because the raised inserts are stiff but still flexible and will not stretch like vinyl letters would. Our Amazon account has some reviews on our TUNDRA Inserts that show how easy it is to install
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JWJN5QK

@4dogdoc To keep the inserts clean and well maintained we recommend using a WAX-AS-U-DRY spray waEagle one is what we use). When cleaning spray wax on soft clean cloth(Not directly on truck or inserts) and wipe clean. We say we are OEM quality because we sell other products using the same raw materials that go directly on factory vehicles(Mostly Toyota and Suzuki motorcycles). The 3M adhesive we use on all our Inserts is a 3M Foam adhesive(same as factory chrome badges) so they can be removed but ONLY if you want them to. Each part is hand inspected before shipping to guarantee you are 100% satisfied with your raised inserts.

Also the 2008-16 Super Duty Models have different inserts, but we have them too! Let me know if I can answer any more questions Cheers!

Any chance of getting some letters in colors, such as Java, the trim color on the King Ranch I have????

@17 Oaks Right now we only have Chrome, Matte Black, Real Carbon Fiber, and Brushed Silver. I am working on matching the Caribou trim on the King Ranch models but no luck yet.
